Biography
Philip Merian is a sound engineer and drummer based in Zurich. His work spans mixing, producing, and recording for both live and studio projects.
In 2022 he began studying Tonmeister at the Zurich University of the Arts, where his first independent project requests soon followed. A year later he completed an internship at Hyposound AG, and in 2024 he started working as a Front of House Engineer for various artists and venues. Alongside live work, he continues to develop his studio portfolio. In Fall 2025 he began his Master’s degree in Schulmusik II.
He combines technical precision with musical sensitivity, aiming to deliver clarity and energy in every concert and recording.

Gianni Tschenett - Uorsin
In collaboration with Gianni Tschenett and Dolune Band, we created a politically charged song that addresses the bizarre housing market situation in Engadin. As the artistic producer, I worked closely with Gianni to develop a fresh sound, ensuring the music captured the right emotions to convey the provoking message effectively.
eon awa - broken soul
Eon Awa approached me with the idea to produce and mix a song that delves into the complex and emotional world of mental illness. Throughout our collaboration, we focused on creating an authentic and emotionally charged sound that could carry the weight of the message. It was a truly beautiful process, and I am grateful for the honest and inspiring energy that flowed through every step of our work.
